Snowshoeing tour among Pale di San Martino
Three days snowshoeing in the Dolomites, from the wide landscapes of Passo Rolle to the typical scenic spiers of San Martino di Castrozza, while crossing the evocative snow-covered woods in the company of Trentino Mountain Guides.
It will be possible, among pines and larches, to find traces of the local fauna, main characters who populate the area: chamois, deers, black grouse.
A slow exploration, to discover the magical environment of the Pale, an unforgettable postcard for anyone who wishes to venture over high altitudes during the winter season.
Program details:
- 1° day - CIMA CASTELLAZ
Meeting in San Martino di Castrozza in front of the Mountain Guides office. Private transfer to Passo Rolle and from here, "snowshoes" on, the trail goes up until it reaches the mountain hut located at an altitude of 2.084 m. After a small break we will depart towards Castellaz Peak, where the statue of Cristo Pensante (in English "Thinking Christ") is located and then return to the hut, where we will spend the evening in good company.
- 2° day - VAL VENEGIA
After a full breakfast, we start ascending to the beautiful Baita Segantini to admire one of the most exclusive Dolomite views. From here we descend into Val Venegia at the foot of one of the most beautiful mountain ranges in the Dolomites: the northern wall of Pale di San Martino. After passing Malga Venegia and Malga Juribello we come back to Passo Rolle. Private transfer to San Martino di Castrozza. Accommodation in the hotel, dinner and overnight stay.
- 3° day - CIMA DELLE SCARPE
With Colverde-Rosetta lift we reach the famous Pale di San Martino Plateau. From the arrival of the cable car at an altitude of 2.680 m, we dive into a sea of white dunes and through the riviera of manna Passo Pradidali we reach Cima delle Scarpe (in English "Shoes Peak" - 2.802 m). Surrounded by a 360 degrees landscape overviewing the mountains, we return to the starting point along ridges and snowholes formed by the wind. Descent by lifts to San Martino di Castrozza.
Additional clarifications
The program could be changed at discretion of Campo Base Team / Mountain Guide - UIAGM based on weather conditions and snow levels, mantaining however inalterate the basic structure and the aims of the proposal.

Booking conditions
Group departures
The reservation request is considered a binding agreement. Our staff will contact you withing 48 working hours to confirm the possibility to join the group.
The group departure will be confirmed on reaching the specified minimum number and clients will be informed not less than 21 day before the trip start date.
Should a group departure not reach the minimum number required, the option will be as follows:
- To use the deposit to book another trip
- To confirm the departure with fewer participant possibly adding a supplement
- To use the deposit to book a Self-guided trip
- To cancel the trip with full refund of the deposit
Private departures
The reservation request is considered a binding agreement. Availability of all services will be checked by our staff, who will provide confirmation by email within 48 working hours.
If there is no availability on the selected dates, the option will be as follows:
- To use the deposit to book another trip
- To choose alternative dates
- To cancel the trip with full refund of the deposit
Payment conditions
All services will be confirmed only after having received a 30% deposit (or the full cost in case of “last minute” bookings) of the vacation.
Balance payment is due 21 days before the trip.
We accept the following payment methods: Bank transfer or credit card (Mastercard/ Visa).
Cancellation policy
In case of cancellation the following terms & conditions will be applied:
- 30% of the total price of the trip for cancellations communicated up to 45 days prior to the trip start date
- 70% of the total price of the trip for cancellations communicated from 44 to 30 days prior to the trip start date
- No refund beyond these terms
