PROGRAM

Dedicated to bike lovers, the new tour DOGA - Dolomites Garda Cycling is the ideal solution for those who are looking for a cycling experience set in a natural environment. You will discover breathtaking landscapes: from the meajestic Brenta Dolomties, UNESCO World Heritage Site, to the mild climate of Lake Garda crossing four enchanting valleys in Adamello Brenta Natural Park.

The tour starts in Val di Sole and covers a 110 km distance along off-the-beatean-tracks roads, bike paths and forest roads and it can be undertaken with mountain bike, gravel bike or E-bike.

Each leg of the itinerary is perfectly designed and will offer you the opportunity to stop in ideal places where you can admire the beauties of western Trentino: Malè, Madonna di Campiglio, Vallesinella waterfalls, Val Genova and its impressing Nardis waterfalls, the Castle of Stenico and the Medieval Village of Canale to then finally arrive in Riva del Garda where the mountains reflect in the crystal clear waters of the lake.

Every evening you will be welcomed in cozy and comfortable bike hotels, where you can enjoy delicious dishes of Trentino tradition and relax waiting for the next ride.

Program details

  • Day 1
    Arrival in Val di Sole and check-in in 3* hotel. 
     
  • Day 2 - VAL DI SOLE/VAL RENDENA
    Ascent: +1089m. Descent: -1049m. Distance: 42km. Riding time: 5h. 
    After a rich breakfast based on typical local products, you climb on your bike and start riding from Val di Sole towards Val Rendena. The route begins with a pleasant ride along the bike path that runs along Noce river, classified by National Geography as the best rafting river in Europe. The itinerary continues on secondary roads, dirt roads and easy paths in front of Brenta Dolomites, crossing wild woods and pastures in Adamello Brenta Natural Park. You can’t miss a short stop in the renowned Madonna di Campiglio and a visit to the suggestive Vallesinella waterfalls. In the afternoon, arrival at the hotel, baggage claim, dinner and overnight stay.
     

  • Day 3 - VAL RENDENA/VALLI GIUDICARIE
    Ascent: +1761m. Descent: -1043m. Distance: 37,6km. Riding time: 6h.
    After a good-night-sleep, it is time to get on the bike to continue along the second part of the itinerary. Skirting for a long stretch the Sarca river, you ride to the discovery of Val Rendena and Valli Giudicarie and their small alpine villages. Along the route, you can’t miss the majestic Nardis waterfalls located in the western part of Adamello Brenta Natural Park and the medieval castle of Stenico that dominates the valley from above. In the afternoon, arrival at the hotel, baggage claim, dinner and overnight stay.
     

  • Day 4 - VALLI GIUDICARIE/LAGO DI GARDA
    Ascent: +393m. Descent: -751m. Distance: 29,8km. Riding time: 3h. 
    Today you undertake the last part of the tour. It is set on traffic-free roads, which run across forests, cultivated lands and small characteristic villages. Cycling, you reach Lake Tenno and the medieval village of Canale, a must stop to relax in nature and to immerse yourself in the atmosphere of the past. Back on your bike, while enjoying the wonderful views of Lake Garda, you descent to the charming town of Riva del Garda. Now you have some free time for lunch and scroll among the picturesque narrow streets of the old town center. In the afternoon, a private transfer will take you back to Val di Sole. Dinner and overnight stay in hotel.

    Departure.

The program could be changed at discretion of the Campo Base Team / Mountain Guide - UIAGM based on weather conditions, mantaining however inalterate the basic structure and the aims of the proposal.
