PROGRAM

Imagine setting off on a ski trip that lets you explore the Brenta Dolomites, Adamello-Presanella, and Ortles Cevedale mountain ranges. A ski vacation where the Alps become your home, and your days alternate between long scenic descents, spectacular views, and evenings in mountain huts, enjoying typical Trentino cuisine.

The adventure begins in Val di Sole, a small valley in western Trentino. From here, you can directly access the Folgarida-Marilleva ski area, connected by ski lifts to the Madonna di Campiglio and Pinzolo ski areas: a carousel of over 230 km of legendary slopes surrounded by the Brenta Dolomites, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Added to this, threre are the 100 km of slopes of the Passo del Tonale, with its Presena glacier reaching almost 3,000 meters, and the authentic nature of Pejo 3000, in the heart of the Stelvio National Park. Val di Sole thus becomes the ideal base for discovering a different side of the mountains every day.

You can experience the Ski Safari in Val di Sole on your own or accompanied by a guide.

In the self-guided tour, Campo Base takes care of the complete organization—hotels, mountain huts, transfers, and 24-hour assistance—leaving you the freedom to ski at your own pace. With a guided tour, on the other hand, not only will you always have a professional guide at your side to choose the best routes, but you can also try freeriding in total safety, enriching the experience with stories and interesting facts about the region.

Sleeping in mountain huts at high altitude is part of the journey: you can enjoy typical Trentino dishes - steaming Canederli or Polenta - in a warm and friendly atmosphere. The 3-star hotel in the valley offers comfort, hearty breakfast, and dinners featuring local specialties and regional wines.

Program details

  • DAY 1
The trip begins in Val di Sole, where you will settle into a cozy 3-star hotel. The first descents are still to come, but you are already immersed in the true mountain atmosphere, ready to experience unforgettable days of skiing.

  • Day 2 - FOLGARIDA AND MARILLEVA SKI AREA
Your ski tour starts in the Folgarida-Marilleva ski area, with 60 km of slopes surrounded by woods and directly connected to Campiglio. It's time to warm up your legs and get to know the snow. The area offers the chance to start with medium-difficulty slopes and then challenge yourself on legendary slopes such as the Black Marilleva piste or the wider, sunnier descents towards Commezzadura. In the afternoon, you continue skiing to Madonna di Campiglio in the Brenta Dolomites to spend the night in a mountain hut at 2.500 meters: dinner at high altitude with traditional dishes and a view under the stars.

  • Day 3 - CAMPIGLIO AND PINZOLO SKI AREA
The Campiglio Ski Area is the largest ski resort in Trentino with over 150 km of slopes, and Madonna di Campiglio is its main tourist village. You will enjoy a full day of skiing at the foot of the Brenta Dolomites, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, with spectacular sceneries. The Grostè Pass offers wide, easy slopes, before moving on to the legendary 3-Tre, where a World Cup stage is held every year. Today, you can also venture as far as Pinzolo, where the Doss del Sabion slopes offer long descents. For the night another mountain hut awaits you, with warm dishes and a spectacular view.

  • Day 4 - CAMPIGLIO SKI AREA - PRESENA GLACIER
The morning is free to enjoy some more skiing in the Madonna di Campiglio area with views of the Brenta Dolomites before a drastic change of scenery. You can repeat some of the most popular descents or explore the Pradalago slopes. In the mid-afternoon, there will be a transfer to Passo del Tonale, the access point to Passo Presena, one of the highest points of the tour. Here, dinner awaits you in a mountain hut, in a quiet and evocative setting, surrounded by high-altitude alpine landscapes.

  • Day 5 - PONTE DI LEGNO TONALE SKI AREA
The day begins at high altitude with a spectacular sunrise over the Presena glacier. The glacier offers iconic descents such as the Paradiso slope, over 3 km long with breathtaking gradients. A whole day dedicated to exploring the Ponte di Legno-Tonale ski area, which ranges from the sunny slopes towards Ponte di Legno to the more challenging slopes of Presena, ending with the wide ones of Temù. All this is crowned by spectacular views of the surrounding peaks and the Adamello glacier. After skiing, relax in a mountain hut with a traditional dinner of steaming dishes and local wines.

  • Day 6 - PASSO DEL TONALE SKI AREA
The morning is dedicated to skiing in the Passo del Tonale ski area, particularly in the Passo dei Contrabbandieri area. Here you will find medium-high difficulty slopes with views of Presanella, the highest peak in Trentino. In the afternoon, a private transfer will take you to Pejo 3000 ski area, in the heart of the Stelvio National Park, where you will comfortably reach the mountain hut for the night. A perfect place to recharge your batteries.

  • Day 7 - PEJO 3000 SKI AREA
The last day of the Ski Safari is dedicated to discovering the Pejo 3000 ski area. The famous Val della Mite slope is the star of the ski area: an iconic descent of over 8 km that starts at 3.000 meters at the top station and ends at the bottom of the valley. All this in the heart of the Stelvio National Park with views of the Ortles Cevedale peaks. In the late afternoon, a short transfer back to the base camp hotel in Val di Sole for a final traditional dinner.
