The queen of Trentino: Cima Presanella
With an altitude of 3.558 meters, the Presanella is the highest summit included entirely in the region of Trentino and for this reason it is its main symbol. From the summit you can enjoy a view of a wide panorama which ranges from Adamello glacier to the near Ortles and Brenta groups.
Presanella is a mountain with a thousand faces where every mountaineer can find the route that best suits his characteristics. Its pyramid-shaped profile is unmistakable and its ascent will offer great satisfaction.
Our program will tackle the normal route, starting from Rifugio Denza.

1° day - RIFUGIO DENZA
Ascent: +420m. Descent: -0m. Distance: 4km. Hiking time: 2h.
In the afternoon, arrival with your own car at Forte Pozzi Alti (1.884 m), from here you will reach independently the hut. Following an easy path, also characterized by a suggestive tunnel, you proceed along the Presanella Valley. Once out of the vegetation, the path climbs up an area characterized by large mountainous rocks until it comes out on the rocky terrace that houses Rifugio Denza. In the evening meeting with the Mountain Guide at the hut. Dinner and overnight stay in hut (2.298 m).

2° day - CIMA PRESANELLA
Ascent: +1260m. Descent: -1680m. Distance: 18km. Hiking time: 9h.
Our ascent to Presanella begins early in the morning. After a first stretch on morainic terrain you reach the glacier and with crampons you proceed towards the Freshfield saddle. From here continue along the glacier maintaining the altitude and then climb the ridge that joins Cima Vermiglio with Cima Presanella. The top is now close and after passing the last frame of snow you reach the summit where the steel cross stands. After admiring the view, you go back to the hut following the track in the opposite direction. The descent will be the ideal moment to fix the emotions just experienced in your memories.
Additional clarifications
The program could be changed at the discretion of the Campo Base Team / Mountain Guide (UIAGM certified) based on weather conditions and snow levels, maintaining unaltered, however, the basic structure and the aims of the proposal.
