Many are the wild animals living in Stelvio National Park, but undoubtedly deers are dominant in the area. When autumn comes, the bellowing season begins, the specific time of the year when the mating activity takes place.
The peculiarity of this ritual is that the males spend their whole day emitting bellows and growls, powerful and imposing sounds aimed to attract females.

Enjoy these magical sounds while staying in the warmth of a chalet: a special weekend surrounded by the woods, appreciating regenerating walks and tasting dishes of Trentino traditions. 

A pleasant occasion of tracking down the deers accompanied by Park Guides will be the heart of the weekend.

You can live this fantastic experience by choosing one of our two proposals:

- In the daytime proposal, surrounded by autumn colors in the company of an expert wildlife Guide, you will walk in the Park following the deers, guided by the loving sounds of this fascinating ungulate.

- In the night proposal, in the company of an expert Guide you will leave for a pleasant excursion during the night, and by following the footprints of the deers, through the use of a thermal camera, you will see the particular infrared radiation they give off!

Programme details

DAYTIME PROPOSAL

• FRIDAY - VAL DI RABBI or VAL DI PEIO: arrival, presentation of the program and accommodation in chalet.
• SATURDAY - VAL DI RABBI or VAL DI PEIO: free day of relax and walks surrounded by the autumn colours of Stelvio National Park.
• SUNDAY - VAL DI RABBI or VAL DI PEIO: at 6.00 a.m. - pleasant excursion through the magic of autumn colours to witness the deer bellowing, packed lunch.

NIGHT PROPOSAL

•  FRIDAY - VAL DI RABBI or VAL DI PEIO arrival, presentation of the program and accommodation in chalet.
•  SATURDAY -VAL DI RABBI or VAL DI PEIO free day to relax and walks surrounded by the autumn colors in the Stelvio National Park. 19:00: Dinner and night excursion with thermal imaging camera on deer tracks accompanied by a wildlife expert.
• SUNDAY - VAL DI RABBI or VAL DI PEIO: check out and return to the various places of destination.

The program could be changed at discretion of the Campo Base Team / Mountain Guide - UIAGM based on weather conditions and forecasts, mantaining however inalterate the basic structure and the aims of the proposal.
