PROGRAM
Dolomites Grand Tour: ski safari on piste among the most iconic ski areas of the Dolomites
The Dolomites Grand Tour is much more than a simple ski holiday: it is a travelling experience that leads you through the magnificent landscapes of the Dolomites, skiing in a different ski area every day. The tour offers constantly changing scenery, fascinating cultures, overnights in mountain huts, warm alpine hospitality, and an unparalleled variety of ski slopes. In just six days, you visit some of the most celebrated ski areas of the Dolomiti Superski circuit, with the opportunity to ski on over 1,200 kilometers of slopes while exploring three Alpine regions: Trentino, Veneto, and South Tyrol - all at the foot of the UNESCO World Heritage Dolomites.
The tour begins in Val di Fassa, gateway to the Sellaronda circuit, and quickly leads you to Passo Pordoi, beneath the mighty Sella massif. Thrilling descents take you to Malga Ciapela from where you ascend up to the 3,000-meter-high Marmolada glacier, the Queen of the Dolomites. From here the route unfolds like a grand loop, guiding you towards the dramatic landscapes of Lagazuoi and the Cinque Torri massifs, the cinematic views of Cortina d’Ampezzo, the snowy plateaus of Alta Badia, and finally the famousa Val Gardena, one of the strongholds of international alpine skiing. Each day reveals a completely new scenary: glaciers, silent forests, rocky canyons, sunlit plateaus, and legendary slopes such as the Saslong, Gran Risa, Vitelli, and the iconic Armentarola.
Throughout the journey, you alternate nights in carefully selected 4‑star hotels, where you can unwind after your most intense ski days, with two unforgettable overnights in mountain huts - an experience that allows you to enjoy the magic of the mountains even after sunset, surrounded by authentic alpine hospitality.
The Dolomites Grand Tour is also a cultural journey: you will experience Italian, Tyrolean, and Ladin hospitality and gastronomy, both in the valley villages and in high‑altitude huts. The proximity of these different cultures is also reflected in the traces of recent history found at First World War sites scattered across the mountaintops. This cultural heritage is well preserved and lies at the heart of one of the thematic routes included in the Great War Ski Circuit. You will also ski legendary circuits such as the Sellaronda and the Super‑8 Tour, both winding through some of the most beautiful peaks in the Dolomites.
Spectacular nature, history, alpine culture, and above all hundreds of kilometers of perfectly interconnected slopes served by modern lifts: the Dolomites Grand Tour is the most complete and immersive way to experience the Dolomites. Six days of continuous skiing, where every segment reveals something new and every valley unveils a fresh marvel.
You can choose to experience the Dolomiti Superski Ski Safari either self‑guided or guided.
On a self‑guided ski safari, you ski independently without a Ski Guide. We take care of all logistics: hotel and hut reservations, a detailed day‑by‑day itinerary, and 24/7 support.
On a guided ski safari, you are accompanied by a certified Ski Guide for the entire duration of the tour. If you wish, you also have the opportunity to experience the excitement of off‑piste freeride skiing. Travelling with a Ski Guide is the best option if you want to enjoy your Dolomites experience completely worry‑free. Your guide not only tailors the trip to your needs but also opens the door to the culture and traditions of the Italian Alps.
The Dolomites Grand Tour is designed for intermediate skiers (parallel turns on red slopes). If you love skiing in a new area every day, exploring freely, and immersing yourself in the authentic spirit of the Dolomites, this experience was made for you.
Program details:
- Day 1
Arrival in Val di Fassa (Trentino) and check-in in 4* hotel.
- Day 2 - SKI AREA ARABBA and MARMOLADA GLACIER
Your first day on the slopes begins in the heart of Val di Fassa, where the panorama of the Dolomites welcomes you right away with magnificent views of the Sassopiatto and Sassolungo peaks. With your skis on, you ascend towards Passo Pordoi, which launches you, with a long descent, into the Arabba Ski Area. Porta Vescovo, at the top of the ski area, is one of the most spectacular viewpoints of the Sellaronda circuit. Here, the landscape opens onto the majestic north face of the Marmolada, the “Queen of the Dolomites.” A series of connecting slopes leads you to Malga Ciapela, where you take the cable car up to Punta Rocca, at 3.269 meters. In just a few minutes you find yourself suspended between sky and rock, standing atop the Marmolada glacier. From here begins “La Bellunese”, a breathtaking 12‑km descent during which you’ll be rewarded with incredible views over the Dolomites. Dinner and overnight stay in hut.
- Day 3 - SKI AREA CIVETTA and CINQUE TORRI
Your day begins with a short transfer to Alleghe, a small village nestled at the foot of the towering Civetta walls and gateway to the Civetta Ski Area. This is the largest ski area in the Veneto region, a territory where the slopes wind through dense forests and panoramic views that change at every turn. The highlight of the ski area is the Gran Zuita, a beautiful 7‑km slope that you can enjoy with wide, flowing turns. It’s a pleasant and satisfying descent, perfect for warming up your legs and letting yourself be carried through a more intimate and peaceful mountain environment. In the afternoon, you move towards the Cinque Torri Ski Area. Here the landscape opens up again, offering wider horizons and completely different views. The slopes run beneath some of the most iconic peaks of the Dolomites: Averau, Nuvolau, and of course the unmistakable rock towers of the Cinque Torri. Skiing here feels like moving through an open‑air natural museum, where the rock formations seem to change shape and color with every turn you make. In the distance, you can also spot the massive silhouette of Lagazuoi, which you will reach over the next few days. A traditional mountain dinner and an overnight stay in a cozy mountain hut complete your day, leaving you with the feeling of having experienced the mountains in the most authentic, genuine, and privileged way. Dinner and overnight stay in hut
- Day 4 - SKI AREA CORTINA
Your day begins directly on skis, leaving the Cinque Torri behind as you make your way toward Cortina d’Ampezzo. You enter the Tofana Ski Area, the sporting heart of Cortina, where the women’s alpine skiing events of the 2026 Winter Olympics were held. Here you find the perfect mix of gentle slopes leading you toward more iconic and challenging descents, as well as easy blue runs that unfold at lower altitudes. You can move effortlessly from the relaxed rhythm of the blue slopes to the adrenaline of the black runs, which reward you with stunning views over the Ampezzo basin. The sheer walls of the Tofana di Rozes follow you throughout the day as a powerful and majestic presence. As the day goes on, you can choose to ski down into Cortina d’Ampezzo and then move toward another highlight of the ski resort: Faloria and Cristallo. Here, the panoramic Vitelli slope and the technical Scoiattolo run are waiting for you to end your ski day in style. After spending the previous nights in mountain huts, today you can enjoy a stroll through the elegant center of Cortina d’Ampezzo, where boutique shops, historic cafés, and refined bars bring the town to life. Walking along Corso Italia, surrounded by alpine architecture and a lively yet never overwhelming atmosphere, allows you to immerse yourself in the authentic Ampezzo spirit - made of tradition, charm, and that unmistakable touch of glamour. Dinner and overnight stay in hotel.
- Day 5 - ALTA BADIA CHARM
Your day begins very early, with a short transfer that brings you to Passo Falzarego, where the cable car swiftly takes you up to Rifugio Lagazuoi, located at 2.800 meters. From the Lagazuoi terrace, the view opens over the entire Dolomite range, reaching as far as the peaks of Val di Fassa, the Marmolada, and the Pale di San Martino. It’s a spectacular and unforgettable panorama, an extraordinary way to begin your day. The descent along the Armentarola slope is one of the absolute highlights of the entire Ski Safari. The slope winds between rock formations, towering cliffs, and dense forests: it feels as if you are skiing through a living postcard. At the end of the run, the traditional horse‑drawn sleigh awaits to take you to the entrance of the Alta Badia Ski Area. The Alta Badia plateau offers fun and variety for every type of skier. The ski area is famous for its playful and enjoyable runs, perfect for friendly challenges with family and friends. With themed slopes, snow parks, and gentle terrain, your day will be anything but monotonous. And for those seeking an extra thrill, the area also features more demanding slopes, such as the legendary Gran Risa, the black run that hosts the Men’s Giant Slalom of the Alpine Ski World Cup every year. The day concludes with your arrival at the hotel, where relaxation is a must after an intense day on the snow. Dinner and overnight stay in hotel.
- Day 6 - GARDENA RONDA ADVENTURE
The Val Gardena Ski Area is the largest area of the entire ski safari, and you access it by crossing one of the legendary Sellaronda passes: Passo Gardena. Once over the pass, you enter the vast Val Gardena ski area. From here, you follow the Gardena Ronda circuit, a thematic itinerary that connects the most panoramic and spectacular slopes of the valley, linking the ski areas of Ciampinoi, Seceda, and Col Raiser–Saslong. On Ciampinoi, you’ll find dynamic and fast slopes, ideal for building rhythm before tackling more adrenaline‑filled runs such as the famous Saslong, the most iconic piste in the entire ski area. At Seceda, the scenery changes dramatically: the celebrated Odle peaks rise like blades of rock toward the sky. The slopes here are wider, the descents longer, and the panoramas open and filled with light. For those who still have energy, it is possible to continue toward the Alpe di Siusi, one of the most iconic and enchanting places in the Dolomites. It is the largest alpine plateau in Europe, offering postcard‑perfect views. The slopes are gentler and more regular, ideal for a relaxing and scenic ski experience. Dinner and overnight stay in hotel.
- Day 7 - SELLA PASS and SKI AREA BUFFAURE-CIAMPAC
Your final day begins with a a couple of slopes before leaving Val Gardena and gradually re‑entering Val di Fassa through the passes that connect the different Dolomite valleys. Along the way, if you wish, you can spend a bit more time skiing in the Ciampinoi area before heading toward Passo Sella. Once back in Val di Fassa, you can reach the Buffaure–Ciampac Ski Area, a small gem of alpine skiing. From Buffaure, long and flowing slopes descend through wide-open landscapes, while the Ciampac side offers more technical runs and a wilder, more secluded atmosphere. As this is your final ski day, you might choose to enjoy a relaxed lunch in a traditional mountain hut, with panoramic views over the Dolomites. If you prefer a more restful afternoon, Val di Fassa also offers interesting cultural alternatives. You can visit the Museo Ladin de Fascia, a small yet precious museum dedicated to the history, language, and traditions of the Ladin people. Dinner and overnight stay in hotel.
