An Overall View

Baita Mas Tarlenta is an independent Chalet located in the heart of the Stelvio National Park near Covel, famous for the natural beauty of its woods and the homonymus lake, and is easily reachable in a few minutes by car from the village of Peio thanks to a well-kept forest road.

The Chalet is disposed on two levels. On the ground floor there are the two bedrooms - a double bedroom and a quadruple bedroom - with two bunk beds - and a bathroom.

The first floor, which can be accessed directly from the front door, is the fulcrum of the Chalet and amazes thanks to the height of the ceiling and the great airiness of the spaces that derives from it. Here we find the living area, the kitchen equipped with a brand new induction hob, a wonderful wooden stove with the classic green color, typical for this Tyrolean / Alps furniture and the bathroom.
The uniqueness of the living area is given by the mezzanine accessible by a safe wooden staircase. This can be used as a relaxation area for reading a good book or listening to relaxing music after a busy day in the mountains of Val di Peio. The mezzanine is also equipped with a sofa bed in the case of large families or groups of friends over 6 units.

Outside there is a private garden and a barbecue for pleasant lunches with friends as well as the magnificent view of the Val di Peio and the surrounding mountain ranges.The car can be left in a parking area in the immediate vicinity of the chalet.
In the early morning it may happen to be able to see majestic deer in the garden for a unique and unforgettable awakening.

Location & Activities

The Baita Mas Tarlenta is at an altitude of 1.750 m a.s.l. and is approximately 2 km from Peio Paese, the highest village of Trentino which proudly shields some precious jewels of its history and local traditions. Some of the valuable demonstrations of this heritage are: “Caseificio Turnario”, the last dairy farm of Trentino, the Museum which collects objects and documents related to the First World War fought in Val di Peio and Val di Sole, and “il Molin dei Turi”, an old mill which gets back to life during local festivals.

A short drive away you can find the Wildlife Area where you can see deer and roe deer up close and the Peio Spa where you can enjoy pleasant moments of relaxation and well-being.

The Chalet enjoys an excellent position for trekking itineraries and mountain bike excursions that will allow you to reach valuable places such as the Scoiattolo Refuge, Malga Saline, Doss dei Cembri Refuge.

The Ortles Cevedale mountain range will thrill the most experienced and trained, with climbs full of emotions and gratifications among the high altitudes of the Val di Sole.
