Val di Sole
The valley of Val di Sole is a renowned part of Trentino, mainly because of its natural magnificence enclosed by imposing mountain ranges and for its warm hospitality which is strongly linked to the alpine tradition, and is a perfect venue for active holidays and genuine stays both in the summer and winter.
The peaks of Ortles-Cevedale, the Brenta Dolomites and Adamello-Presanella group offer an extremely varied territory which is optimum for hiking through the mountain refuges, climbs to high altitudes, via ferratas, mountain bike and downhill trails, horseback treks. The wild waters of the Noce river are very popular with rafting and kayak enthusiasts, and has many gorges and ravines which are perfect for canyoning as well as numerous sunny cliffs that are ideal for rock climbing for all age groups and levels of expertise.
It has three ski resorts – Dolomiti di Brenta, Passo Tonale and Peio, with routes dedicated to ski mountaineering and Nordic skiing, free-ride slopes, snowshoe walks, snow games for children, ice climbing on the frozen waterfalls of Valorz.
